  • Objectives

    This University Diploma (DU) has the following objectives

    • to validate the skills in management of care units (acting as an executive or manager) in the health and medico-social sectors.
    • to provide them with the administrative, legal, managerial and quality-related tools and knowledge that are essential to the exercise of their profession.

    This training is intended for anyone who plans to manage a team in a health care institution.

    Knowledge to be acquired

    The aim of this diploma is to provide managers and/or future managers of care units with the administrative, legal and managerial tools and knowledge that are essential to the exercise of their profession within a health and/or medico-social establishment.

    The diploma program does not include any medical or paramedical aspects.

    Skills to be acquired

    • Identify the skills in management of health care services to be effective in his function as a health executive.
    • To develop motivation and individual and collective skills in order to achieve the objectives of the service.
    • Use the tools and methods of the quality and risk management approach to improve the quality and safety of care in the department.
    • Apply project management methodology and change management techniques to manage a project.
    • To elaborate, analyze and follow up a budgetary reporting by using the fundamental knowledge in management and labour law to contribute to the medico-economic piloting of its establishment.
    • Facilitating communication in compliance with social and patient law in order to promote a calm climate within the department, between the team, the patient/user and his/her relatives.

    • UE 1 - Missions and management skills of the health executive
    • UE 2 - Economic and financial management: financing, supplier relations, inventory management, budgeting
    • UE 3 - HRM and team management: developing the motivation and individual and collective skills of the team
    • UE 4 - Project management - Quality approach and risk prevention
    • UE 5 - Law and legislation: health law, social law
    • UE 6 - Memory methodology and office tools
  • Admission

    Who can apply?

    Baccalaureate level + 3 (State Diploma of Nursing...).

    This training is intended for health managers and/or managers in charge (state-qualified nurses, radio operators, midwives, etc. ....) wishing to develop their managerial skills; for any person with a management function or planning to manage a team.
