Practical information
The teaching team is made up of lecturers in economics and management who carry out their research in the field of finance, and in particular market and international finance. This team is complemented by professional lecturers holding positions of responsibility in major companies and financial institutions. These professional lecturers account for around half of the teaching on the Master 2 course.
For the most part, each course is taught by a mixed team comprising a research professor and a professional from the sector. These courses alternate between lectures and practical case studies. This practical application can also be achieved through participation in national asset management simulation competitions.
Students also receive personalized support to help them refine and adapt their career plans, through tutorials, meetings and debates with current professionals (business roundtables), and the definition of assignments, for example by writing an applied research dissertation. Some courses can be taught in a flipped classroom, with documents and videos posted online prior to each session.
At the end of the Master 2 program, students take part in an oral exam to validate some of the skills they have acquired, based on topics selected by lottery and developed by the student. The jury is made up of the course director and one or more members of the teaching staff. An internship of around 24 weeks is compulsory. A skills booklet is completed by the company tutor and the trainee at the end of the internship. A report on the internship may be submitted in the presence of the company tutor and the trainee.
