  • Objectives

The Master of Fashion and Textile Professions was created in 2011 by the University of Aix-Marseille in order to meet the needs of companies in the fashion sector looking for specialised managers. This two-year Master's degree, based in Marseille and developed by the Faculty of Economics and Management, aims to train operational students in management functions with a mastery of the stages of the sector's value chain, including: sourcing, supply chain, classic and digital marketing, business development in France and internationally. Students are trained in distribution techniques in traditional channels and the specificities of e-commerce. They are made aware of CSR and environmental protection issues, from the design of the garment to its reuse after purchase. Part of the curriculum is in English. In this sector, it is one of the few university masters and therefore accessible to all.

There is only one standard course entitled "Fashion and Textile Professions". The M1 and M2 programmes of this course are built on a transversal knowledge of the fashion sector. The M1 is based on a common core that enables students to understand the specificities of the sector (creation of a fashion product, marketing and fashion communication) and the problems of business management (project management, IT, supply chain, law, HRM, etc.).
