Rap and Innovation" conference

🎤 A ix-Marseille University's Faculty of Economics and Management, in collaboration with LA FIRME Agency and in partnership with CISAM+, Aix-Marseille University and the City of Marseille, is organizing a series of conference-debates on the theme of the Rap industry.

🎶 This initiative, dubbed "Inspira Mars", will include a first conference on "Rap and Innovation" on February 22, 2024, followed by a second on "Rap and Entrepreneurship" on April 26, 2024. In addition, a rap concert will close the academic year away from the FEG on April 26, 2024.

🚀 The aim of these conferences is to highlight the links between the world of business, innovation, entrepreneurship and that of the rap industry. Speakers will address the multiple managerial challenges faced by players in the rap industry, such as artists, managers, producers, beatmakers, DJs, etc. They will also discuss the role of innovation in artistic creation, adaptation to new technologies and the time constraints faced by these players.

📅 The "Rap and Innovation" conference will be held on Thursday February 22 at 6pm, on the Colbert Campus in Marseille, in Amphi A.

Speakers at the "Rap and Innovation" Conference:

  • Mourad Skenawin aka "L'Adjoint" - Sound engineer (@ladjointskenawin)

Born in Marseille, L'Adjoint discovered hip-hop after his immersion in French chanson. Fascinated by funk and soul grooves, he began composing and writing. He became a sound engineer in 2005, exploring beyond sampling to improve sound. His studio, "Skenawin", became a Mecca for Marseilles rap, hosting artists such as JuL and SCH. After signing with Sony Music and then BMG in 2022, he pilots "Skenawin Music", sharing his experience and collaborating with young composers.

  • Florian Lalanne - Director (@flolalanne)

Florian Lalanne works as an artistic director and video producer, and has established himself as a key figure in the Marseilles art scene. His reputation is built on his collaborations with leading local rap personalities, testifying to his expertise and recognition in the field.

  • Amandine Maus - Senior Lecturer

After obtaining a doctorate in management science focusing on incubator business models and their evolution, Amandine Maus turned her career towards the academic world. In September 2020, she joined Aix-Marseille University's Faculty of Economics and Management and the CERGAM laboratory, where she is a lecturer specializing in entrepreneurship and innovation.

  • Tarik Chakor - Senior Lecturer

Tarik Chakor, Senior Lecturer in Management Sciences at Aix-Marseille University's Faculty of Economics and Management, specializes in the cultural and creative industries. His work highlights the links between the rap and business worlds.
