As a young graduate of a Master 2 CCA in initial training, here is my testimony about my five years of studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management in Aix-en-Provence. After two years of a bachelor's degree in economics and management, I specialized in accounting and financial management. This L3 was in adequacy with the subjects discovered in the previous years such as financial diagnosis, accounting and law. At the end of L3, I chose to do an internship in a holding company in order to understand how to keep the accounts of different companies and to learn the specificities of this kind of company. I went for the CCA master's degree because I didn't know if I wanted to take the DSCG, but it's always useful to have a diploma that gives equivalence to the DSCG. Moreover, this master's degree allowed me to develop my knowledge in in-depth accounting, financial diagnosis, discovering auditing but also to have notions on business valuation and financial markets. The master 2 CCA offers possibilities, not only in accountancy or legal audit. Moreover, it is possible to work abroad if you have the means to do so.

I decided to go towards this master in order to have a real speciality in accounting, taxation in order to pass my DSG then my diploma of chartered accountancy (DEC). By passing the CCA Master's degree, I left the faculty with 5 out of 7 UEs from the DSGC. My university career within the FEG of Aix-en-Provence during these 3 years taught me a lot, not only about my knowledge in the different subjects, but also about my personal development. The team of professors and administrative staff supported us throughout our studies. Since the end of my master's degree, I have worked for one year in an accounting firm. I then reoriented myself in the medico-social field. I am now the director of three EHPADs. The skills and knowledge acquired during the CCA master's degree are useful to me on a daily basis.

The Gap Licence 3 GE is a human-sized training course, not an "industrial" one, with competent teachers who are above all attentive to their students' needs. The small number of students in this course is an asset for developing the skills taught. I have never considered the 3 GE de Gap licence as a training course but more as a family that meets every day to study. Indeed, the teachers use personalized teaching for each student and take the time to explain. The licence has brought me the desire to create my own business and to continue my studies in the field of entrepreneurship. After the bachelor's degree, I entered the 2nd year of PGE at the EM Strasbourg.

After three years in post-bac business school, I wanted to go into accounting. So I did some research and the diploma that caught my attention was the L3 MCF. So I joined the L3 MCF at the University of Aix-Marseille. The latter allowed me to acquire solid skills in economics, accounting, finance and law that I hadn't had before. This bachelor's degree was also the occasion of my first professional discovery in a firm. Attracted by the Diploma of Chartered Accountancy, I continued my education afterwards in M1 and then in M2 CCA at the University of Aix-Marseille. The CCA Master's degree is a springboard to the DEC by obtaining 5 out of 7 DSCG equivalencies. It also allows students to acquire a recognized Master's degree in business. The Master CCA is a high level diploma that has allowed me to acquire good skills, both technical (accounting, finance, auditing, legal), organizational (teamwork, synthesis work, writing), but also professional (internship, some courses are taught by professionals). These skills have enabled me to evolve more easily in the firm. It is a professional diploma that allows you to be hired after an internship or a work-study program. My entry into working life was smooth. I was lucky enough to complete my Master 2 CCA in a work-study program, and at the end of this year of work-study, I was offered a permanent contract. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to join the firm from November in order to have the necessary time for the revisions of the UE1 and UE4 of the DSCG which cannot be dispensed with. After obtaining these UE immediately after obtaining my Master's degree, I started my traineeship as a chartered accountant at the beginning of the following year. At the end of my 3 years of internship, I had the opportunity to present the DEC exams which I validated! After having worked in a firm for several years during my chartered accountant internship, I oriented myself after obtaining my DEC towards business.

Following a VIE Finance at Orange and 3 years in external audit in BIG 4 in Luxembourg, I now hold a position of Direct Reporting to the management of a large Chinese Group for its entities based in Europe and Middle East. The CCA master's degree has largely contributed to these varied opportunities in the Finance sector while remaining a solid base for the pursuit of diplomas such as DSCG, ACCA and CFA.

I am pleased to announce that I am now a Certified Public Accountant. This project could not have come to fruition without the determination of my parents. They had the courage to let their daughter go to another country, so far away! Their trust and the freedom they gave me are very precious to me. I thank them from the bottom of my heart and I dedicate this diploma to them first. Over the past eight years, I have had the chance to meet people who are tremendously committed and passionate about their profession. I would like to thank my teachings and especially Professor Nadine Ricci-Xella. I would also like to thank my teacher, leader Jean-Paul RETOUT for his generosity and kindness, I would like to thank very especially Eric MANCHON for his advice and unfailing support. And finally, a big thank you to my friends who have supported me without fail throughout this project, I thank you for your availability, your listening and your precious help to accomplish this project.

Following my Master 2 CCA obtained in 2013, I started my internship as a chartered accountant in a small firm in Marseille. The firm was 70% oriented towards legal auditing and 30% towards accounting and consulting. This experience was enriching because of the diversity of the files, but I wanted to learn my future profession more quickly with files raising important accounting, tax or even consolidation issues. I then chose to join a local firm in Marseille at the end of my first year of internship. I stayed with this firm until the end of my internship. An experience during which I was able to carry out audits of companies with a turnover of up to 250 M€, but also consolidation, consulting or even VSE expertise. Validating my 3 years of internship, I wanted to challenge myself professionally before becoming (I hope) a Chartered Accountant. In 2016, I am appointed general manager of a ski area. The economic and social situation of the site was complex. In 2018, my board of directors entrusted me with two other (smaller) resorts to manage (around 150 employees in winter). I remained at the head of these resorts until autumn 2020. During these 4 years, I think I enabled the company to regain financial balance, a sustainable strategy and even the confidence of the employees. This experience was complicated, but very enriching and exciting. Since the end of my studies, I have always wanted to have my own firm. So I resigned and I am currently working on the preparation of the DEC. I am currently writing my dissertation and preparing for the May 2021 exams (and yes, there is no age for revision!). To conclude, I will just say to students who wish to continue towards public accounting that the choice of the firm during the 3 years of internship is paramount. However, since this is usually your first professional experience, you can sometimes make a mistake in the choice of your firm, but it is not a prohibitive one (I am proof of this).

I had the opportunity to join the CCA professional Master 2 in 2007 after obtaining a Master 1 and an L3 MCF (my curriculum is 100% university). At that time, I didn't really have any idea about my final professional career, but the programme and the aura of the teachers (whom I met throughout my training) encouraged me to follow this "numerus clausus" course. The internship in the office (6 months and during the fiscal period) was beneficial on several levels: Understanding the workings of this profession often described as austere and uninteresting. Develop my personal network To gain experience (particularly in the technical aspects of the firms). Indeed, on this last point, let us keep in mind that the purpose of this professional diploma is indeed to obtain a work contract at the end of the training. The new laureate is recognised by the sector, as firms are quite fond of this kind of profile. Indeed, I didn't have much trouble finding a job as soon as I finished my studies, and I was even lucky enough to be able to develop my knowledge in a BIG, to the point where, after a few years, I joined the management group of the South-East sector. Moreover, continuing my studies after obtaining the M2CCA is necessary, in my opinion, to enhance the value of all the knowledge imparted over the years of training and to underline its multidisciplinary quality. In addition to this windfall (training), the M2CCA has a significant advantage: exemptions for DSCGs. Although the EU 1 and 4 require a lot of work, this training remains, in my opinion, the royal road to obtaining the DEC, for those who wish to take this long road. More than 10 years after successfully leaving the faculty, I remain sensitive to the values and the quality of this diploma which has enabled me to reach my current stage. I warmly recommend to anyone interested in the quantitative professions to join this type of course.
