  • Objectives

The aim of the Master's in Economics is to train economists capable of understanding contemporary economic problems both on a theoretical and applied level. These economists will be able to understand the environment in which companies and administrations operate and anticipate the issues at stake. The Master's degree has a quantitative dimension that is necessary in a society in which data play an increasingly important role - jobs related to economic analysis and data exploitation are set to expand considerably.
The training has a dual purpose: academic and professional. A solid academic training is necessary to provide students with a capacity for reflection and analysis enabling them to develop favourably during their career. This first year constitutes the foundation on which the specialised professional courses offered to students wishing to enter the labour market at the end of the Master's programme and the in-depth courses in economics and econometrics for those intending to pursue doctoral studies are based.

The M1 in taught in English in Marseille, and in French/English in Aix-en-Provence. The ME tracks are full English.
The M2 DADEE is co-organised with Sciences Po Aix.
